The camera is my tool. Through it I give a reason to everything around me. -Andre Kertesz

Creating images is my passion which energizes me 24/7. A great deal of planning and effort is taken with every project I undertake. I am committed to providing you service of the highest caliber and delivering images that are unique and enduring.

My photographic "tool box" includes both film and digital cameras ranging from 35mm to a 4x5 large format view camera. Probably more important then the "box" that captures an image is lighting. Great photos are made by controlling the light and skillful use of lighting is paramount in obtaining the best possible photograph. I make the pursuit of perfect lighting one of my highest priorities.

I have a strong conviction that learning is a lifelong endeavor. I feel continuing education is of great importance and invigorates my art. I strive to continuously improve my skills through workshops, art/photography courses and/or self assignments. I apply the lessons learned to making your experience a happy and memorable one.

I have been blessed to pursue 2 careers involving my passions in life. I grew up in upstate New York looking to the sky and daydreaming about becoming a pilot. After I earned my Bachelor of Arts degree I set out to follow my first passion and was rewarded with Naval Aviator wings of gold. I had a thrilling time flying both helicopters and fixed wing aircraft. During my years in the Navy I learned many useful organization skills, how to be a leader and a team player. Additionally I learned a thing or two about dedication and commitment along the way. These skills translate well in the pursuit of my other passion and current career as a photographer.

Today I work and play in the wonderful, easy going seaside community of Solana Beach located just north of San Diego.

The artist's world is limitless. It can be found anywhere, far from where he lives or a few feet away. It is always on his doorstep. - Paul Strand
